As We Age

When he are born we need help staying clean and dry. As a new born, we have no control of our bladder or bowels. We have diapers. As we age, if we are able to, we learn how to hold it until we find a toilet.
Then we age and like it or not, we lose some bladder control. We leak.
We tend to come to a place where we let our bladder control us.
We seem to need to visit the restroom more often. We find ourselves visiting the bathroom at night disturbing sleep. We stand there as our urine flows or doesn't flow. The problem of flow retention will be handled in another posting. Here we are addressing bladder control that leads to the necessity of diapers.
We do need hydration. Water is needed for us. Most of our body is water. About half our weight is water. Water is also  the basis of all body fluids. This includes our digestive juices.
Water helps  to keep the food moving in our bodies through the intestinal tract. It aids in the elimination of waste. It helps deal with constipation.
The body needs water  replacement for want it loses through perspiration. That may equal in a day about two or three quarts.
Mostly we are able to maintain a schedule of bathroom visits to empty our bladder.
As we age we may have periods of overactivity.
Don't be forced into the adult diaper. Be proactive. You can be with this supplement called Flotrol. (Click on colored words to get more information)
There is no need to give in and give up. Keep your health and dignity.
